| LGESA shows its commitment to support the fight against crime in South Africa |
|
 |
LG Electronics partnered with Primedia’s Crime Line – an anti-crime campaign, endorsed by the
South African Police Service – to launch the Crime Line “Life’s Good Roadshow”, in June 2008.
This initiative was aimed at educating high school children that life’s good without crime.
Primedia’s Talk Radio 702 and 94.7 Highveld Stereo both ran a “call to action” campaign, inviting
High Schools in Gauteng to actively participate. The “Life’s Good Road Show” visited 2 schools a week,
over a period of 4 months. Allan Heyl, the official Crime Line ambassador and notorious sole survivor of
the 1980’s Stander Gang was instrumental in getting the message to the South African youth.
As someone who has been through the system, he was well qualified to speak on the effects of crime
on one’s life. |

Social Service Group |

A "corporate citizen"
is a corporation that not only pursues profits but
also undertakes certain responsibilities and obligations
to the community.
Trusted by its customers and regarded as a good
neighbor in the community, LG Electronics takes
the initiative in fulfilling its social responsibilities.
This was seen in June 2003, when LG Electronics
launched a Social Service Group composed of 200-odd
members from each LG Electronics workplace across
the country. These cause-oriented individuals will
engage in rescue and support during national disasters.
Truly, the move will enable LG Electronics' trusted
